Enough

The world is violent
Volcanic hatred
Gushing and searing
Everyone in its path
Leaving charred remains
Of humanity never to heal
As it should with the salve
Compassion respect and acceptance
But to keep the wound open
For the next generation of hate
To take up arms in the name of
Remembrance
Lest we forget
Globalisation
Heralded savior of all things democracy
A true ideal
Served up each night
To the army of followers
Eager to be King of their world
Based on a serfdom of supremacy
A ladder like any other
Proprietorship and speech
Right to their own life
But not to recognise others
Human Rights
Decades of eloquent declarations
Caged in grand towers
Nobel in their thinking, yet
Impotent in application
Humanity fights for survival
In the face of a global hatred

Random musings. Occasionally ranty representative of the "Diplomatic Corps" of radical feminism. Unapologetic Guardianista. Retired Navy veteran. Socialist, snarkoleptic and regular scorn pourer. Can be quite nice.
