The Dealer

They ask questions
Answers are freely given
But are dismissed
Out of hand without consideration
They have no intention
Of listening
Why do this?
Why ask?

Do I have to yell Fuck Off!
If you don’t like it
Hard Luck!
To stop them
Their rudeness
Their disrespect
Then be labeled
Aggressive. Emotional. Unreasonable.
The (un)holy trinity
Fucking each other
Fucking me

I give them the space
The respect
They have that right
To be heard
Everyone does
What I say counts
What I think genuine
But the selfishness of
Others breed contempt
For difference

I won’t change
I won’t match
Their ignorance
Or trump their
I deal the cards
In my life
I have a voice!
